Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Step 2: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the peanut butter until well combined.
- Step 3: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Step 4: Gradually add the flour to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Step 5: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on ungreased baking sheets. Use a fork to flatten each cookie, pressing down in a crisscross pattern.
- Step 6: Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
