Ingredients
- Chicken broth: 4 cups
- Ramen noodles: 2 packages
- Chicken breast: 1 pound, boneless, skinless
- Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Garlic cloves: 4 cloves, minced
- Heavy cream: 1/4 cup
- Red pepper flakes: 1 teaspoon (or to taste)
- Green onions: 2 stalks, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Step 1: Cook chicken. Dice chicken breast and cook in a pan over medium-high heat until fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Step 2: Prepare the broth. In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a simmer. Add soy sauce and red pepper flakes. Adjust red pepper flakes to desired spice level.
- Step 3: Cook noodles. Add ramen noodles to the simmering broth and cook according to package directions, usually about 3 minutes.
- Step 4: Make the creamy garlic sauce. In a small bowl, combine minced garlic and heavy cream.
- Step 5: Combine. Stir the creamy garlic sauce into the ramen broth.
- Step 6: Serve. Divide ramen and broth into bowls. Top with cooked chicken and green onions. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover ramen separately from the broth to prevent soggy noodles.
- When reheating, add a splash of extra chicken broth to the noodles for better moisture and flavor.
- Garnish with a soft-boiled egg for added richness and protein to your ramen.
- For an extra layer of flavor, try browning the minced garlic in a little butter before adding the heavy cream.
