Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts: 2 (6-8 ounces each)
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
- Italian dressing mix: 1 packet (1 ounce)
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Paprika: 1/2 teaspoon
- Dried parsley: 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, Italian dressing mix, garlic powder, paprika, parsley, and lemon juice. Mix well to form a marinade.
- Step 3: Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Pour the marinade evenly over the chicken, ensuring each breast is well coated.
- Step 4: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Step 5: Remove the foil and continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Step 6: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful chicken breast.
Notes
- Store leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, reheat sliced chicken in a skillet with a little broth to keep it moist.
- Serve this melt-in-your-mouth chicken with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
- Chef's tip: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness before marinating for more consistent cooking.
