- All-purpose flour: 2 1/4 cups
- Unsalted butter, softened: 1 cup (2 sticks)
- Granulated sugar: 3/4 cup
- Brown sugar, packed: 3/4 cup
- Eggs: 2 large

Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Step 2: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Step 4: Stir in the chopped pecans.
- Step 5: Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Step 6: Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. (Frost if desired after cooling.)
Notes
- To keep these cookies soft, store them in an airtight container with a slice of bread.
