Delicious crispy chicken ham and cheese puff pastry bites recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry sheet (thawed) – 1 sheet (approximately 14 oz)
  • Cooked chicken breast (diced) – 1 cup
  • Cooked ham (diced) – 1 cup
  • Shredded cheddar cheese – 1 cup
  • Dijon mustard – 2 tablespoons
  • Egg – 1 large
  • Everything bagel seasoning – 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil – 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
  2. Step 2: On a lightly floured surface, unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet. Gently roll it out to slightly enlarge it (about 12×12 inches).
  3. Step 3: In a medium bowl, combine the diced chicken, diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, and Dijon mustard. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Step 4: Spread the chicken, ham, and cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry sheet.
  5. Step 5: Cut the puff pastry sheet into approximately 2-inch squares. Whisk the egg in a small bowl and brush the top of each square with the egg wash. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
  6. Step 6: Arrange the puff pastry squares on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed up and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Store cooled leftover bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For best results, reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven or air fryer until warmed through and crispy again.
  • Serve these delicious bites as a crowd-pleasing appetizer or a satisfying snack.
  • Don't overfill the pastry; a thin, even layer of the filling ensures the bites cook evenly and stay crispy.
