Ingredients
- Cottage cheese, large curd: 16 ounces
- Eggs: 6 large
- Milk: 1/2 cup
- Cheddar cheese, shredded: 1 cup
- Green onions, chopped: 1/4 cup
- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
- Garlic powder: 1/4 teaspoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- Step 3: Add the cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the egg mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Step 4: Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Step 5: Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the egg bake is set and lightly golden brown on top. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.
- Step 6: Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a quick reheat, microwave individual slices until warmed through, or bake in a preheated oven for best texture.
- Serve with a dollop of sour cream or hot sauce for an extra kick!
- To prevent a watery bake, drain excess liquid from the cottage cheese before mixing it with the other ingredients.
