Ingredients
- Cream cheese, softened: 8 ounces
- Brown sugar: 1/2 cup
- Granulated sugar: 1/4 cup
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
- Toffee bits: 1/2 cup, divided
- Granny Smith Apples: 2-3, cored and sliced
- Caramel sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Milk: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Step 2: Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar to the cream cheese and continue to beat until well combined and creamy.
- Step 3: Stir in the vanilla extract and half of the toffee bits (1/4 cup).
- Step 4: Spread the dip into a serving dish.
- Step 5: Drizzle the caramel sauce over the dip.
- Step 6: Sprinkle the remaining toffee bits (1/4 cup) over the caramel. Serve immediately with apple slices or cover and chill for later.
Notes
- Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; the apples are best freshly sliced.
- If chilled, let the dip sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving for a softer, more spreadable consistency.
- Besides apples, try serving this with graham crackers, pretzels, or even pear slices for a delightful mix of textures and flavors.
- For an extra layer of richness, consider browning the butter before adding the sugars to enhance the toffee-like flavor.
